Walnut is prized for its rich brown tones and striking grain patterns. Its natural beauty makes it a compelling choice for many interior settings. However, walnut is softer than oak or maple, so exposure to rocks, sand or concentrated point loads may result in more visible wear compared to our other products. 

Natural walnut is known for its wide color variation and may include up to 35% sapwood, expressed as lighter-toned planks that add to its distinctive character.

Nydree flooring is crafted from real hardwood. With that comes the beauty of natural variation. Color, shade and grain will differ from board to board, giving each floor its own unique character. 

Because of this, samples offer a helpful reference but can’t fully capture the look of an entire installation. Variations may also occur between dye lots, including on repair orders. Complimentary samples are available online or through your local Nydree sales agent.
